On Wednesday, July 10, 2014 at 9:56 PM, CPD officers were dispatched to the drive-thru window of the McDonald's restaurant (2000 block of Whitley Avenue) regarding a possible drunk driver. The driver of a pick-up truck had been seen driving erratically in the drive thru and heard speaking incoherently. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the pick-up truck in the McDonald's parking lot and contacted the driver who was identified as Angel Villegas Raygoza (age 32). Officers observed Raygoza was displaying strong symptoms of intoxication and saw he had a 12 pack of beer in the front seat. Raygoza was subsequently arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

A check of Raygoza's drivers license showed that his license status was suspended or revoked due to prior drunk driving offenses. Raygoza had three prior DUI convictions including a DUI causing injury and had recently served time in prison. Raygoza had been arrested by Corcoran PD on April 6, 2014 for felony DUI w/3 prior convictions and booked at the Kings County Jail in Hanford, CA but had bailed out of custody on April 15, 2014. Raygoza was still pending a court appearance for his last felony DUI arrest. Raygoza was again booked at the Kings County Jail for Felony DUI w/3 prior convictions, Commission of a felony while out on bail for a felony offense and Driving with a suspended or revoked drivers license. Raygoza is being held on $60,000.00 bail.
