PRESS RELEASE: Burglary Suspect Arrested; Stolen Bicycles Recovered; Seeking Additional Bike Theft Victims

On July 6, 2014, Redondo Beach Police Department arrested Brian Bond for residential burglary, possession of stolen property (bicycles) and grand theft.  Approximately 11 (eleven) suspected stolen bicycles were found at Bond’s residence during a probation search.  Based on their investigation and awareness of similar crimes in Manhattan Beach, Detectives from both agencies coordinated a follow-up into the case.

Manhattan Beach Detectives contacted Brian Bond and through the subsequent interview, investigation and evidence, it was found Bond was responsible for numerous residential burglaries in Manhattan Beach.  The cases involve bicycles, which were stolen from open/unlocked garages throughout the City.

Manhattan Beach Detectives believe Brian Bond may be responsible for many of the bicycle thefts from open garages in the City and are currently looking for additional victims.  If you have been a victim of a bicycle theft from a garage please contact Detective Shawn Thompson (310) 802-5124.
