A residential burglary occurred on the 25200 block of Via Tanara between the hours of 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Due to the high heat, the victim opened the garage door to let air in. While the garage was opened person(s) unknown stole a bicycle which the victim left unsecured in the garage.

A petty theft of a bicycle also occurred near a bike path at Valencia Boulevard and Creekside between the hours of 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The victim locked her bicycle with a chain located at the front entrance of the bike path. When she returned she found the chain had been cut and her bicycle had been stolen. No witnesses or suspect(s) were located.

A robbery and petty theft of employees tip jars occurred in food establishments during various times and locations. The victim’s observed the suspects take the tip jars, located by the cash registers, and run out of the locations. One suspect, a female adult, was arrested at the time of the incident. .

A second robbery occurred at Citrus Street and the Mall Entrance between the hours of 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The victim was approached by a male and female suspect who demanded his book bag. When the victim refused, the male suspect punched him in the face and took off with his book bag in an unknown direction.

Please do not become a victim! Use caution and be cognizant of your surroundings. Do not leave items visible in your vehicle. Take all personal belongings with you when you exit your vehicle or secure items in locked trunks. Do not leave items on floorboards, underneath vehicle seats or cover them with clothing apparel or blankets. Thieves know this technique.

Remember to roll up all windows and lock doors before walking away from your vehicle. Keep the serial numbers of bicycles, electronic items, such as cell phones, lap tops, IPads, on file in the event that it is stolen to aid its recovery.
