Law Enforcement Torch Run for Illinois Special Olympics “Tip A Cop” Event
On Saturday, July 12, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., at Culver’s of Huntley, 13240 Rt 47, members of the Huntley Police Department will serve as waiters in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Illinois Special Olympics. For the eleventh year in a row Culver’s will host “Tip a Cop” in order to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Illinois.
During “Tip a Cop” members of the Police Department and Special Olympic Athletes will act as waiters and receive donations for Special Olympics. Illinois Torch Run merchandise (hat, shirts and pins) will also be available during this event.
Donations will also be collected at Drendel’s Corner Mobil, 13280 Rt 47, during the event. Illinois Troch Run merchandise will also be available at Drendel’s Corner Mobil.
Special Olympics is a nonprofit organization providing year-round sports training and competition in 19 sports for over 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 18,000 young athletes ages 2-7 with and without intellectual disabilities.
