The LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI investigative assistance this morning with a homicide that occurred just before 5 a.m. in Monroe. Randy DeWayne Shelton, 54, was shot and killed inside his home in the 35000 block of Midway Road. Shelton’s wife was awakened by the sound of gunshots and found her husband. She called 9-1-1. OSBI agents interviewed and then arrested Shelton’s neighbor Richard Humphreys (d.o.b. 3/22/1966). He was booked into the LeFlore County jail on a complaint of first degree murder.
