LaPorte-This afternoon, detectives with the Indiana State Police at Lowell arrested a LaPorte man for Child Pornography (Level 6 Felony) and Child Exploitation (Level 5 Felony) and incarcerated him at the LaPorte County Jail.
ISP Crimes Against Children Detectives, North Mobile Forensic Vehicle and ISP K-9 with assistance from the LaPorte City Police Department served a State Search Warrant at 205 Woodward Street, LaPorte; the residence of 34 year old Ronald E. Wheaton. Information found at the scene lead officers to believe that Wheaton allegedly possessed child pornography. The investigation is continuing.
