The Westville Police Department received a 9-1-1 call this morning at approximately 7 o'clock reporting the death of a woman at the Savannah Park Apartments. There, police found 30-year-old April Meridith deceased inside her apartment. Westville Police requested OSBI agents assist in the investigation. The medical examiner will determine her cause and manner of death. The OSBI investigative agent spent the day in Westville conducting interviews and gathering information. An OSBI crime scene agent documented the scene and collected possible evidence. Officials will investigate this death as a homicide until the medical examiner can determine her cause of death -- standard procedure for any suspicious death.
