LOCATION: 800 block West Cherry Street, Compton

SUSPECT(S): Unknown

UNIT: Homicide Bureau, Lt. Jauch

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are en route to the 800 block of West Cherry Street, Compton, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of one female adult and the wounding of one male adult.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital where the female victim was pronounced dead. The male victim remains hospitalized in an unknown condition.
