Updates to April 15, 2014 homicide and July 5, 2014 stabbing

Update to April 15, 2014 homicide:

Terry Lee Shepard has been interviewed by Green Bay Police Detectives regarding the April 15th homicide of Steven Sims. Mr. Shepard admitted to being involved in the incident and shooting at Mr. Sims but claims it was in self-defense. Mr. Shepard is currently being held on charges from the Racine Police Department and it is unknown when he will be transported to Brown County to face our charges.

Update to July 5, 2014 stabbing:

On July 5th, at around 1:20am, Green Bay police were notified by a local hospital of a 16 year old who came into their ER with a stab wound to the stomach. The victim claimed to have been stabbed by her boyfriend at a residence in the 800 block of Kellogg Street. They victim and her boyfriend do not live in the Kellogg Street area and were visiting a friend after watching the fireworks. According to the victim and witnesses an argument occurred between the couple. The male suspect allegedly beat up the female and made a statement that he was going to stab her. He walked to another room and when he came back he opened up a folding knife and stabbed her in the stomach. He fled the area on foot and was later located and arrested with a folding knife in his possession. We have requested a charge of Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide against Jacob Barr, a 17 year old from Allouez.

No further information is available at this time reference either incident.
