Detective charges Mark Mills, of Old Fort, with stealing $100,000 worth of tubes and selling them for scrap 
Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Mark Shannon Mills, 45, of Souther Road in Old Fort, with eight felony counts each of larceny and obtaining property by false pretense.
In May, while Mills was a subcontractor for Crane Resistoflex, the industry reported 10 sintering tubes, valued at $100,000, missing.
Alkire said Mills stole the tubes and sold them to a scrap metal business on multiple occasions for a total of $2,000.
