Madisonville, KY, Man Dies after Truck Rolls Over Him
Pike County – Yesterday evening, Indiana State Police and Pike County Sheriff’s Office responded to CR 75 South near CR 325 West after a neighbor found a man under a pickup truck in a nearby field.
During the investigation, Indiana State Police Detectives Toni Walden and Tobias Odom determined that Lonnie Frederick, 72, of Madisonville, KY, was driving his 2014 Ford F150 pickup truck on CR 75 South when for unknown reasons he pulled off the roadway approximately 20’ and stopped on a slight downgrade in a farm field. Frederick exited his truck without putting the vehicle in park and walked to the front of the vehicle. The vehicle started to roll and ran over Frederick. The Pike County Coroner pronounced Frederick dead at the scene.
An autopsy performed today indicated Frederick’s death was accidental.
