LASD & FBI Seek Public's Help in ID'ing & Locating the Female Bank Robbery Suspect-Bombshell Bandit

Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the FBI are seeking the public's assistance in learning the identity and whereabouts of a female bank robbery suspect nicknamed the Bombshell Bandit, based on the bomb threat she made during the robbery, coupled with what witnesses described as a glamorous disguise, including a wig and large sunglasses.

The Bombshell Bandit robbed the Bank of the West, located at 27011 McBean Parkway in Valencia on June 6, 2014. During the robbery, the Bombshell Bandit passed a note demanding cash and in which she threatened that a bomb would detonate if the teller did not comply with her demands. The Bombshell Bandit was also seen by witnesses casing additional area banks on the day of the robbery and was last seen leaving the Bank of the West on foot. Victim witnesses said the suspect appeared to wearing a wig; auburn or brown in color, but that her natural hair appeared to be black.

The unidentified female suspect was described broadly in terms of ethnic background, to include either white, Hispanic, Indian or of Middle Eastern descent. She was further described as 20-25 years old, 5'3" and approximately 125 lbs.

Anyone with information about the Bombshell Bandit should contact investigators with the LASD or the FBI, or dial 911. Additional information about bank robbers wanted in southern Calfornia can be found at www.labankrobbers.org.
