Chemical Endangerment Arrests

(Etowah County, Alabama) Two Etowah County women have been arrested and charged with chemical endangerment of a child, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

Investigator Haydyn Hedgspeth states, “Amy Renea Hall, 24, of Rainbow City, was charged on Saturday, June 21, and is charged with one count of chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed, which is a felony.”

Hall admitted to using Xanaz and OxyContin during her pregnancy.

“Dylan Leann Entrekin, 21, of Gadsden, was charged, on Friday, June 27, with one count of chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed,” states Investigator Bobby Bryant. The charge is a felony.

Entrekin has admitted to using methamphetamine on a daily basis.

“It is simply unacceptable for an adult to endanger an innocent child’s life,” states Sheriff Entrekin. “How do we reverse this trend, I’m not sure. But as long as women continue to put their child’s welfare in jeopardy we will continue to arrest them and offer them help.”

Both women are being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center.
