The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department will host their annual Law Enforcement Day on Saturday June 28th from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Vassar Alumni House lawn (Raymond Ave in Arlington). The public will have the opportunity to meet police officers and learn more about services offered and performed by the department. In addition, there will be police vehicles to view, child identification, bounce houses, bike raffles, refreshment’s and a police K-9 demonstration (at 2:00 p.m.). This event is in conjunction with Youth Community Awareness Day sponsored by the Arlington Business Improvement District and there will be over twenty organizations to provide information on many different topics.

There will also be a car show sponsored by the Arlington Business Improvement District on Collegeview Ave, just across from the Law Enforcement Day event from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Collegeview Ave will be closed to traffic from Raymond Ave to Fairmont Ave during the car show. Motorists should use Lagrange Ave as a detour.
