Advisory

The North Brunswick Police Department is warning residents about potential car burglaries and thefts-

Good afternoon Resident,
The North Brunswick Police Department has recently seen an increase in car burglaries and vehicle thefts. Most of these incidents have been reported within the Society Hill Complex, as well as along the Rt. 130 corridor. While these types of crimes are typically more prevalent in the summer months, there are things that you can do to prevent them. Please lock doors and close windows- Most of these burglaries are occurring to unlocked vehicles that offer no resistance. Remove all electronics and valuables from view- Most car burglars are looking for electronic items and/or cash as their reward. If they can see it, they will be more tempted to take it. Look out for each other and report suspicious activity- If you see any thing suspicious, call the Police so it can be investigated.
The North Brunswick Police have recently made some arrests connected to these burglaries. Investigations are still ongoing, but several arrests have been made with many stolen items recovered. More information to follow. Thank you for your assistance.
