Crothersville Man Facing Numerous Felony Charges

Jackson County: Yesterday Indiana State Police arrested a Crothersville man charging him with numerous felonies. According to Trooper Randel Miller, on June 4, 2014 he was assigned to investigate a report of a fraud on a deceased person’s credit card account. Tpr. Miller made contact with the credit card company and through his investigation learned the card had been used for approximately six months following the death of the card holder. The investigation revealed internet purchases were made as well as purchases from Home Depot in Seymour.

Tpr. Miller worked with asset investigators from Home Depot and was able to identify the suspect making a purchase through the store’s video surveillance system. Tpr. Miller was able to determine the suspect made purchases amounting to over $6,000 over a two month period. Based upon this information a search warrant was obtained for the suspect’s residence at 203 Dismore St. in Crothersville. Yesterday Tpr. Miller along with Master Trooper Kevin Riordan and Crothersville Police Chief, Richard Hardin executed the warrant and arrested was 23 year old Ryan Kevin Mull of Crothersville. During the search of the residence several items related to the investigation were located. Mull was transported to the Jackson County Jail where he now faces 17 counts of Identity Theft (Class D Felony), 17 counts of Fraud (Class D Felony), and six counts of Forgery (Class C Felony).

Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Media note: A photo of Mull may be available by contacting the Jackson County Jail.
