Burglary Investigation Leads to Three Arrests
Wayne County – Earlier this month on June 19th, Indiana State Police Detective Andy Wandersee was contacted and began an investigation into a burglary of a home south of Richmond in southern Wayne County. Wandersee worked closely with Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Detective Kyle Weatherly and their joint investigation lead to the arrest of three Wayne County men yesterday.
Arrested was Joseph M. Craft, age 25, William A. Scalf, age 22, and Jeremy Lee Brant, age 19, all of Richmond. All are charged with Class “B” Felony Burglary. In addition Brant was charged with class “D” Felony Theft. The three men were lodged in the Wayne County Jail.
Remember, if you are going on vacation this summer, don’t post pictures of yourself on vacation on social web sites until after you return, and never post a vacation itinerary on social network web sites. Make sure neighbors and relatives know you’re going to be gone and try to have someone check your home periodically. If possible install a security system with cameras to assist law enforcement, just in case your residence is burglarized.
