Traffic Crash in Milton Twp.
Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on 6/23/2014 at 1727 hrs his office was called to investigate a crash that occurred in Milton township on Redfield Street near Gumwood Road. 37 year old Niles Resident, Jeremy Santana, was traveling west on Redfield St when he started to hydroplane during heavy rain lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road and struck a tree. Passenger of the vehicle 37 year old Crystal Watkins was transported by EMS to Lakeland Hospital in Niles for her injuries. Alcohol use is not suspected and both subjects were wearing their seat belts. This case remains under investigation.
