Orange County Shooting Leaves One Dead, Two Others Injured
Paoli: An early afternoon shooting north of Paoli left one man dead and two others injured, one being critical.
After 1:00 this afternoon, Orange County 911 received a call from a passerby, requesting medical assistance for a male lying near the roadway at 2350 North County Road 200 West, Paoli. EMS arrived on scene to find a male subject suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS additionally found a second male walking outside the residence with a gunshot wound, and a third male inside with a gunshot wound. Law enforcement was immediately called to the scene.
Investigators report that the male inside the residence died as a result of his injury. The additional victims were transported to IU Health in Paoli and University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, where one male is suffering from a wound to the mouth and a second suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Names of the victims are currently being withheld at this time as investigators attempt to make notifications with all three families.
Investigators and crime scene technicians are processing the scene looking for clues and indications as to why this incident occurred. Further details are minimal as the investigation remains in its early stages.
