The following information is updating the homicide that occurred in the Town of Windsor on June 22, 2014.
The 15 year old victim who was shot and killed is identified as Nathan Torres. He lived with his family in Windsor and attended Windsor High School.
Three other victims were wounded by gunfire have survived their injuries. One is a 17 year old, the two others are adults; 21 and 24 years old respectively. Other identifying details about the three survivors is being withheld for their safety and for the integrity of the investigation.
The case is being actively investigated by lead Detective Gary Freitas of the Violent Crimes Investigations Unit at the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.
The victims and others were gathered for a birthday party at the time of the shooting. We are asking that anyone with information call the Investigations Bureau at 707-565-2185. That line is open all hours for tips and clues. You can remain anonymous if you desire.
