The Clayton County Sheriff's Office has received information that subjects are using Caller ID Spoofing technology in Clayton County. Caller ID Spoofing is a way for individuals to call your phone from their number but it shows to be a different number on your Caller ID. It is mainly used by individuals attempting to commit Identity Fraud. Individuals trying to defraud you will call and your Caller ID will show it being from a bank or other place of business. Make sure you never give personal information over the phone to anyone unless you can verify their identity. Sheriff Victor Hill.
