On June 19, 2014 the Burlington Police Department was called to a motor vehicle crash on Colchester Avenue at Calarco Court. When police arrived we learned a motor vehicle traveling west on Colchester Avenue struck a parked vehicle. The moving vehicle rolled over and came to a final rest on its roof.
The sole occupant of the vehicle was a 54 year old male, Peter Banks. Banks was able to get out of the car on his own and was sitting on the curb when emergency personnel arrived on scene. He was transported to FAHC ER for non-life threatening injuries and was later released from the hospital.
Investigation revealed the accident was caused by negligence on the part of Banks. Banks was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court for Careless and Negligent Operation. A parked vehicle received damage which made it inoperable, no other injuries occurred as a result of this accident.
