Weeds and Code Enforcement

Press Release from the Idalou Police Department

WEEDS
With the recent rains, which have been needed and welcomed, it has increased the infestation of mosquitos. While we have been continuously spraying to eradicate them, we need additional assistance from our community. Two of the main reasons for the mosquito issue are standing water and high weeds. We are asking everyone to please mow your front yard, backyard and alleys to help eliminate the pesky visitors. In order to ensure compliance, the Idalou Police Department will be enforcing the “Weeds” ordinance. If you have any questions, concerns or need any assistance please feel free to call (806) 892-2500. Thank you for your continued support.
