On June 15, 2014 at approximately 2131 hours Burlington Police responded to a single car motor vehicle accident at Battery St. and Main St. Witnesses reported seeing the driver slumped over into the passenger seat before the vehicle swerved and struck a light pole. The operator, Kurt Glenon, 28, of Swanton, was transported to Fletcher Allen for unknown injuries and was later released. The passenger, Matthew Rabideaux, 37, was cleared by Burlington Fire Department personnel. Neither male reported wearing his seatbelt. Both the vehicle and a light pole valued at approximately $3,000.00 suffered extensive damage. The investigation regarding alcohol or substance use is ongoing.
