(Oklahoma City) June 14, 2014 a deputy saw a white pickup truck fail to stop at a stop sign at S.E. 15th Street & S. Bryant Avenue and attempted to make a traffic stop around 2:00pm. The driver of the truck refused to stop and took off at a high rate of speed and the deputy was forced to initiate a pursuit.

The pursuit went southbound on I-35 into Moore, Oklahoma. Several agencies assisted with the pursuit, Moore Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol (The Official FB Page), and Oklahoma City Police Department. On I-35 & S.W. 19th Street in Moore the suspect vehicle crashed, but the driver was able to get the truck back on the road and the pursuit continued westbound on 19th Street.

At S. Telephone Road & S.W. 19th Street the suspect's crashed into a vehicle, then continued south on Telephone Road. The pursuit ended just south of S.W. 25th Street & Telephone Road when the suspects stopped the truck, but they took off running on foot.

One of the suspects was arrested immediately. The second suspect ran into a nearby retail store and was taken into custody soon after around 2:20pm. While doing an inventory of the truck deputies did recover a handgun from inside the cab of the vehicle. Deputies are still investigating at this time.

Both men will be booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on multiple complaints. Fortunately no one was injured during the pursuit.
