On 6/13/14, the East Palo Alto Police Department and Menlo Park Fire Department responded to a possible explosive device found in a residence on the 2000 block of Euclid Ave in East Palo Alto. For public safety purposes the San Mateo County Bomb Squad responded to assess the device. It was determined that the device was an old inert mortar training round and did not pose any danger. The Bomb Squad took custody of the device and the surrounding area was opened for regular traffic.
