Meth Supplier Arrested

David Aguirre Vieyra, age 31, of Buena Park, was arrested for the felonies of possession of methamphetamine for sale, transportation of methamphetamine, and child endangerment.  Vieyra is considered by SBPD detectives to be a high-level drug dealer.

The Santa Barbara Police Department's Narcotics Unit, investigating methamphetamine sales, learned that Vieyra was supplying Santa Barbara area drug dealers.  On the morning of June 6, 2014 Narcotics detectives obtained a search warrant for Vieyra and his vehicle and subsequently detained him on the 500 block of Bath Street at 2:10 p.m.  With Vieyra in his vehicle were his wife and two young children, ages 5 and 1.  The detectives executed the search warrant and found Vieyra to be in possession of approximately one pound of methamphetamine which he acknowledged transporting to Santa Barbara from Los Angeles County.  Vieyra was consequently arrested.

Following Vieyra's arrest detectives authored a search warrant for his residence on the 8100 block of 4th Street in Buena Park.  At 9:10 p.m. SBPD detectives, with the assistance of the Buena Park Police Department, served the search warrant there and recovered an additional two pounds of methamphetamine.  The value of the drugs that were in Vieyra's possession is $35,000.00 to $50,000.00.

Vieyra was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on the aforementioned charges with a bail amount of $100,000.00.
