The Brown County Sheriff's Office Needs Your Help!

Nashville - On Sunday morning, June 1st, deputies from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office investigated the death of a pedestrian on State Road 135 north of Nashville near Hurdle Road. Sometime between 12:20 a.m. and 2:20 a.m. a person walking was struck and killed by a vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop.

The victim, Chad Demuth, age 36, is from Kentucky and is believed to have been walking south on State Road 135 when he was struck by a southbound vehicle.

Evidence suggests the vehicle that left the scene may be a 1988 to 1997 Chevrolet or GMC truck. It is likely the truck is a C1500 or W/T model with glass sealed beam headlamps. There should be damage to the front of the truck, the headlamp and a mirror.
