1 Injured in Traffic Crash

Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his office is investigated a personal injury accident which occurred on June 9th, 2014 at approx. 1820 hours. This crash happened at M-60 HWY and US HWY 12 Bypass in Milton Township, Cass County, Michigan.

Cass County Sheriff Deputy arrived at the scene of the crash and observed a head on crash. Deputies reported that a Jeep Wrangler driven by Marsha Kennedy 53 years old from Niles, MI was turning left on to US HWY 12 East Bound when she Failed to Yield the right of way to west bound traffic. Kennedy was struck by a Dodge caravan driven by Richard Flora 75 years old and passenger Ann Flora 70 years old from Niles, MI. Richard and Ann Flora were transported to St. Joseph Medical Center for their injuries. Marsha Kennedy was treated by EMS personal at the scene and released.

Seatbelts were worn by all parties involved and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Howard Township First Responders, SMACAS Ambulance and Edwardsburg Ambulance.
