Sunday Night Father and Son Dispute in Shoals Turns Deadly
Martin County (Shoals): A day long argument Sunday between a father and son ended Sunday evening with the death of one.
Preliminary investigation shows that at approximately 9:55 P.M., Martin County Dispatch received a 911 call from John Bruce Tow, 60, Shoals, informing the dispatch operator that his son, Jonathan Tow, 32, Shoals, was bleeding to death.
Indiana State Troopers and Martin County Deputies arrived at the residence on Doane Lane in Shoals moments later to find Jonathan Tow lying outside the doorway of the trailer with a knife wound to his neck. EMS and medical first responders attempted to render care to Jonathan; however, he did not survive.
John Bruce Tow was transported to the Martin County Jail, where he has been held on preliminary charges of Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon. Investigation by Indiana State Police detectives and crime scene technicians continues and is ongoing.
No further information is being released at this time. An updated release will follow when information becomes available.
