Bridge Work Continues
U.S. 84/285 & North Tesuque Interchange (Exit 172) - June 7

Santa Fe–The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will continue bridge rehabilitation work on U.S. 84/285 and North Tesuque Interchange (Exit 172) north of Santa Fe near the Tesuque Village at mile post 171.6.

Saturday, June 7 at 6:00 a.m., the North Tesuque Interchange (Exit 172) will be CLOSED, and the U.S. 84/285 northbound and southbound lanes will be reduced to one lane and be detoured through the off ramps and on ramps at this interchange. The cross-road at the North Tesuque Interchange will be closed during this time. There will be an 18’ width restriction. The North Tesuque Interchange (Exit 172) and U.S. 84/285 northbound and southbound lanes will be RE-OPENED on Saturday, June 7 at 8:00 p.m.

Sunday, June 8 at 6:00 a.m., the northbound N. Tesuque Interchange (Exit 172) will be CLOSED, and the U.S. 84/285 northbound lanes will be reduced to one lane and be detoured through the off ramp and on ramp at this interchange

During the North Tesuque Interchange (Exit 172) closure, motorists can use Exit 175 (Camel Rock) for access to the west frontage road and Exit 168 (Tesuque) for access to CR 73. The west frontage road and CR 73 will not have access to U.S. 84/285 at the North Tesuque Interchange during this closure.

Monday, June 9 – Friday, June 10, there will be intermittent single lane closures northbound and southbound on U.S. 84/285 near the North Tesuque Interchange (Exit 172) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This project is scheduled for completion July of 2014. G. Sandoval Construction, Inc. of Las Cruces is the contractor for this project.

Drivers are urged to proceed through the work zone with caution, observe traffic control signs and obey speed limits. Updates on this project will be posted on the New Mexico Department of Transportation’s road conditions website, www.nmroads.com
