The City of Norton Shores is recruiting candidates for the position of police officer.

Minimum qualifications include: 21 years of age, Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field (graduation from MCOLES Military Police Basic Training Program may substitute degree), ability to be licensed by MCOLES by hire date, valid Michigan operator’s license, and a clean criminal history record.
A competitive wage and benefit package is offered.
To register and schedule a test, go to https://www.empco.net/testing/ and follow the instructions. There is a fee to take the examination, but the results of this one test will be accepted by all participating police departments in Michigan for one year. This recruitment period is open until position filled. Candidate review begins June 16, 2014.
