Suspects are Targeting Optometry Stores and Removing Eyeglasses 
On Thursday, May 08, 2014 at 1230 p.m., the suspect entered EYE ZONE OPTOMETRY, 3871 PCH, removed items from the displays and concealed them on his person (in his back pocket). The suspect also moved glasses from the bottom shelves of displays to the spots where he removed frames, to make it less noticeable that items were missing.
The same suspect (with a younger Hispanic male adult associate) targeted the same victim location in 2013. On Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 1:45 p.m., they entered the EYE ZONE at 3871 PCH and Suspect-1 immediately approached the victim-owner and began asking questions about eye exams and eyeglass products.
Suspect-1 did not buy anything and both suspects left the business at the same time. The victim then observed multiple frames missing from the displays. Upon reviewing the surveillance video, the victim observed Suspect-2 (the older male) removing items from the displays and concealing them on his person while she spoke with Suspect-1. Suspect-2 also moved glasses from the bottom shelves of displays to the spots where he removed frames, to make it less noticeable that items were missing.
SUSPECT VEHICLE: None seen or heard in either incident
