The U.S. Marshals Service requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation investigate a police-involved shooting involving a U.S. Marshals Task Force member. The shooting occurred along Highway 75 between Okmulgee and Tulsa by the Duck Creek Casino when task force members attempted to stop a vehicle driven by a murder suspect. The suspect attempted to run over a Tulsa police officer assigned to the task force. The officer fired his weapon once at the vehicle. The bullet struck the vehicle but not the driver. The driver stopped the vehicle and fled the area on foot. He was later apprehended.

OSBI investigative agents are on scene interviewing task force members involved and any witnesses to the shooting. OSBI crime scene agents are processing the suspect's vehicle. Once the investigation is complete, a prosecution report will be given to the district attorney.
