Alabama man arrested on numerous charges after traffic stop.
On May 29, 2014, at 3:30 a.m. Deputy Dan Goedde observed a White 1989 Buick Riviera traveling southbound on US 41 near State Road 68 with no working taillights. Upon stopping the vehicle the driver Dorian J. McFarland age 22, of Madison, Alabama gave officer’s a false name to conceal the fact that he had a warrant out of Alabama. While officers were attempting to positively identify Mr. McFarland a small amount of Marijuana was found in the vehicle. At the conclusion of the investigation Dorian J. McFarland was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is being held on a $5,000 bond.
He is being charged with Misdemeanor False Informing and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana. Mr. McFarland is also being charged with Felony Identity Deception/ Theft.
Assisting Deputy Goedde in his investigation was Jeremy Volk of the Haubstadt Police Department and P.D. Stolz of the Indiana State Police.
