Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents arrested an Antlers man this morning for the murder of his nephew. Henry JC Cole (d.o.b. 7/19/1944) was arrested at his home located at Route 1, Box 6040. The first degree murder arrest stems from the killing of Gene Cole April 15th, 2014. Gene Cole died of a shotgun wound to his neck. Henry Cole called 911 to say he had discovered his nephew's body on his property. Deputies arrived at the scene and called OSBI for investigative assistance. OSBI agents served a search warrant on Henry Cole's home and found two shotguns. An OSBI Firearms and Toolmarks Examiner tested both weapons and determined one was the gun used to shoot and kill Gene Cole. Agents also collected information that a week before the murder Henry Cole was overheard saying his nephew was no longer allowed on his property. Cole was booked into the Pushmataha County jail.
