Attention Rutgers Community:
The New Brunswick City Police Department is investigating a home invasion which was reported to have occurred on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at approximately 10:40 P.M. This incident occurred at a private residence located on Hamilton Street between Dix Street and Woodbridge Street near the border of New Brunswick City and Franklin Township.
In this incident the victim, who is not affiliated with Rutgers University, reported that two masked men entered the victim’s residence, displayed a handgun and demanded money and drugs.
The victim was not physically injured during this incident.
The victim described the suspects as wearing dark pants and dark hooded jackets with black gloves and white masks.

Allow in only guests who are known to you;
Report defective locks, card readers, or burnt-out lights;
Keep doors locked when home;
Remain alert and aware of the people and circumstances around you; and
Report suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
