Thursday afternoon, the OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip from the Moore Police Department involving a woman who had sexually abused her young child and emailed explicit pictures to a subject both Moore Police Department and the Garvin County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.

The photographs show numerous sex act perpetrated upon a 3-to-4-year-old boy. Further investigation into the woman revealed the victim is her son. OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children agents served a search warrant on the woman’s home in Bartlesville last night. Agents interviewed then arrested Sara Marie Garoutte (d.o.b. 5/26/1981) at her home located at 405 N. Woodrow Avenue, Bartlesville. Agents booked her into the Washington County jail on one count of distribution of child pornography, one count of manufacturing of child pornography, one count of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 by parent, and one count of violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

Agents believe the abuse occurred on at least three occasions in Cleveland County at the request of the woman’s male companion. The victim and another sibling are in protective custody.

Officers with the Bartlesville Police Department assisted with the search warrant and arrest as did OSBI agents from the Northeast Regional Office.
