GCSO offers boating education courses
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office will be offering two Boating Education Courses in June.
1) Mon. June 2 and Tues. June 3, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day at the Quincy Jr. High Library. (Must attend both days).
2) Sat. June 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Grant County Sheriff’s Office Substation, 1274 Lowry St., Moses Lake.
The Boating Safety Education Law was passed in 2005, and has been phased in since 2008. For 2014, persons 59 years old and younger are required to have a boating education card. For 2015 all boat operators born after 1/1/1955 will be required to have completed the course.
There is no fee and no pre-registration is required.
