Be aware of phone scam: Caller represents themselves as Bail Agent of family member, requesting you to wire money 
During the week of 5/19/14, several people have called C.C.P.D. stating that they received a phone call alleging that a family member had been arrested, and they were subsequently instructed to wire money to a specific location. Furthermore, they are providing a call-back number, which is NOT a legitimate C.C.P.D. phone number.
Be advised that these are fraudulent phone calls, and we are currently investigating the matter. Do not send money to anyone that you have not confirmed to be legitimate. If you have questions about one of your family members possibly being in custody at C.C.P.D., please call 310-253-6208.
