Advisory

Theft of Keys

On Tuesday, May 20 at approximately 5:30 pm Sonoma County Junior College District Police received a call from Student Affairs in the Bertolini Student Center stating they had just confronted a subject who was in a secured area of the building and had fled. While police were checking the area a second call came in from an employee stating that someone had accessed the supply closet, searched the space and stolen keys and an access card.

District Police disabled the access card and checked to see if the access card had been recently used. The access card system showed that the card had been used shortly before the original call had come in from Student Affairs, and retrieved video from the CCTV system that captured an image (attached) of Caucasian male, 30-40 years of age, with a thin build and a shaved or bald head entering through a secure door. The subject was carrying a dark backpack with lighter highlights (possibly a camouflage pattern), wearing a black t-shirt with lettering, light blue jeans and flip-flops.

The access card has been disabled, but the keys have not been recovered. Anybody with information on this case or the identity of the suspect is asked to call District Police at (707) 527-1000
