Detective charges Marion woman and juvenile with breaking into car and using stolen debit card
Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Lois Ann Hutchins, 29, of Chevy Lane in Marion, with four counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense and one count each of felony breaking and entering and misdemeanor larceny.
On April 14, Sarah Beth Fields, of Deer Park Resort in Nebo, reported that someone broke into her vehicle in the Deer Park area and stole $400 worth of property, including a stereo, a purse, computer equipment and a debit card.
Brown said the debit card was used four times – at the Marathon gas station in Nebo for $13.80, at Waffle House for $7.89, at Taco Bell for $8.28 and at Woodlawn Gas House for $12.20.
An investigation led to Hutchins and a 14-year-old suspect, who has also been charged.
