Possible Scam / Solicitation to mow lawns

The St. Louis Police Department has received a complaint of subjects soliciting to mow lawns for money. These individuals are using a threat that the City of St. Louis/St. Louis Police Department will be ticketing you for having an un-mowed lawn to pressure residents to pay to have their lawn mowed.

The City of St. Louis has not authorized any person to use the threat of penalty by the City to solicit lawn mowing jobs.

The City of St. Louis does have a "knoxious weeds" ordinance.

THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS DOES NOT HAVE ANY PERSON GOING DOOR TO DOOR SOLICITING TO MOW LAWNS UNDER THREAT OF PENALTY UNDER THIS ORDINANCE.
