Child Drowns in Cupertino

On Sunday, May 18th at 4:08pm, deputies were dispatched to a child drowning in the 10000 block of Anson Avenue in the City of Cupertino. Deputies arrived on scene five minutes after the call and Santa Clara County Fire Department was already on scene performing CPR. The victim was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead. Sheriff’s Office Detectives and the Child Death Investigation Team were called to the scene, which is protocol in all child deaths. The investigation is still on-going.

With Memorial Day weekend coming up and summer right around the corner, this is a good time to remind everyone about pool & spa safety with children.
