Haubstadt woman arrested for DUI. 
On May 17, 2014 at 2:20 a.m. Deputy Daniel Goedde observed a Black 2003 Lincoln Aviator fail to signal a turn onto State Road 68 from County Road 50 West. Deputy Goedde was able to stop the vehicle at Main street and State Road 68 in Haubstadt, Indiana. During the traffic stop Deputy Goedde believed that the driver Cheryl R. Elpers age 46 of Haubstadt appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Deputy Goedde administered several standard field sobriety tests to Ms. Elpers as well as a portable breath test. At the conclusion of the roadside investigation Ms. Elpers was transported to the Gibson County Jail where she was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (DUI). Ms. Elpers has since posted a $650 bond.
Assisting Deputy Goedde in the investigation was Officer Jeff Beck of the Fort Branch Police Department.
