Personal Injury Carsh

Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on 05/16/14 at 2323 hrs, his office was called to a personal injury crash at Baldwin Prairie Road north of Chapel Hill St. in Porter Twp Cass County Michigan. 53 yr old Vandalia Resident, Michael Dudkiewicz was north bound on Baldwin Prairie Road and attempted to miss a deer in the roadway and lost control of his vehicle running off the road and striking several trees. Both Michael and his passenger, James Michael Dudkiewicz 24 yr old were transported by a friend to their residence and then contacted Cass County dispatch for an ambulance. From the residence both subjects where transported to Elkhart General Hospital for their injuries. Safety belts were used and alcohol is a factor. This case remains under investigation.
