Robbery Case # 14-1514
On Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at approximately 9:45 PM, officers responded to a call of a robbery on the 1200 block of Sevier Avenue in Menlo Park.
The suspect approached the victim, who was sitting in the passenger seat of her personal vehicle, in the driveway of her residence. The victim had just returned home from being out and is 8 months pregnant. The suspect demanded the victim’s personal property but did not open the car door.
The suspect used an unknown object to break the passenger side window. The victim received injuries from the unknown object and the shattered glass causing non-life threatening injuries. However, since the victim was pregnant she was transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
The suspect fled the scene on foot with $200.00 cash which was taken by force from the victim. An extensive search of the area was conducted but the suspect was not located.
The suspect was described as a Black Male adult in his mid 30’s. He is approximately 5’8” and has a slender to medium build. He was wearing a black long sleeve hooded sweat shirt with the hood pulled over his forehead. The victim was unable to provide any additional information.
