Pair charged with breaking into home of acquaintance and stealing $510 worth of property
Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 28-year-old Jamie Adair Wright, of Honeycutt Lane in Nebo, and 32-year-old Jennifer Leigh Mathis, of Level Plains Drive in Marion, with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny.
On March 19, Crystal Elliott, of Clover View Drive in Old Fort, reported that someone broke into her residence and took a video game system and seven games, a microwave oven, clothing and groceries with a total value of $510.
Brown said an investigation led to Wright and Mathis, who are acquaintances of the victim.
Some of the property was recovered.
