Advisory

Thanks to an observant man eating lunch on Diamond Ct, four burglars are in jail (Media Release)

Residential Burglary Interrupted, 4 Suspects in Custody

On Monday May 5th, at 12:28 pm, Pleasanton Police Dispatch received a call from a citizen reporting that he had just seen four people kick in the door of a residence on Diamond Court and go inside. The reporting party was eating lunch in his car and upon seeing what he felt was a burglary in progress immediately called 911.

Officers responded to the area of the residence and immediately set up a perimeter around the house. As officers approached the house, three suspects came out of the front door. One suspect was immediately arrested and the other two suspects fled on foot. One suspect was caught in the backyard and the other was caught a short time later. A fourth suspect was located in a vehicle on Sunol Blvd. and placed under arrest. A search of the suspect’s vehicle, a black Cadillac Escalade, revealed items of property which had been taken in another residential burglary that occurred earlier in the day.

The suspects arrested were: Jacob Ryan Crozier, DOB: 07/01/87; Ignocincio Lopez Jr. DOB: 08/02/83; Dominic Carillo Lopez, DOB: 08/10/92 and Andreas M. Buford, DOB: 07/25/94. All four suspects are from Sacramento.

The investigation is on-going at this time. If anyone has any additional information related to this case or possibly witnessed the suspects and or vehicle, please contact the Pleasanton Police Department at (925) 931-5100.

This is an excellent example of how an alert citizen can aid the police in apprehending criminals. Thanks to the keen observation of the reporting citizen and his willingness to report suspicious activity, four suspects are in jail and their victims will get their property back. This accentuates the importance of the community working with the police to prevent crime and apprehend criminals.
