(Etowah County, Alabama) An Altoona man has been arrested and charged in connection with stolen property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“David Austin Chaviers, 19, of Altoona, is charged with one count of first degree theft of property and one count of third degree burglary, both are felonies,” states Investigator Robin Grant.

Chaviers allegedly stole a 2004 Kawasaki Prairie Twin V four-wheeler from a residence on Highway 132, Altoona. The four-wheeler was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

Chaviers was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $7,500 bond.
